Maxi Trend!!!

So when I was seeing the maxi dress and skirt trend, I'll admit I was a little nervous. I'm already a very tall girl and although people think maxis look better on taller girls, sometimes I feel frumpy or overwhelmed. Never mind I own six BCBG power skirts that are the antithesis of maxi. I still love a nice pencil skirt but I fell in love with this BCBG fuchsia maxi skirt! Of course it was too expensive so I went and purchased a similar one from Forever 21. Two days later the BCBG one was mine. The Forever 21 dress just couldn't compare and it looked cheap and I wasn't satisfied. The BCBG one has pockets and potential to be a dress as well!!!

Stylefixx Event

Here are some pics from the ever fabulous Stylefixx Event!! I received last minute VIP tickets from a great friend and headed over as fast as possible! It was amazing! So many vendors, so many chic woman, wine from Barefoot and Stella Artois, Sushi from Haru, Pizza from Uppercrust & cake from Finale. Some of the vendors were Salmagundi from JP, Ku De Ta from South Boston, Happy Scarf in Boston (where I got my skull scarf from) and many many more! I'm definitely going to the next one. The swag bag was just an extra great thing to receive!

New beauty musts!!

These are two areas that always need improvement, well for me. Longer, thicker lashes and nails that stay strong and polished. Both work very well. Make sure you apply mascara right after the serum. I suggest one lash at a time. The seche vite should be applied when polish is still wet. It bonds the polish to your nail! Highly recommended.

As most know, the weather has been great at being awful. It may be sunny but it's freezing and/or so windy you can barely walk in a straight line. Other days it's gloomy and/or rainy. So getting out to take pictures hasn't been on the agenda. I am glad I grabbed that $7 umbrella at H&M the other day. I was there on the prowl for a new bag even though I wasn't sure about buying something new since I was heading to the Swapaholics Earth Swap. I didn't get much and it's better to safe than sorry. I was happy to attend! Loved meeting new people and there was free beer & cupcakes!! The only thing in spring mode is my nails!
